None. Level 1 is where every Reiki practitioner begins, including me. Most people arrive knowing almost nothing about Reiki beyond a feeling that they want to learn it.
Yes, and it is now how most people learn it. Mikao Usui, who founded this lineage, received Reiki alone on a mountain rather than in a classroom. The energy has never needed a particular room. What matters is the teaching, the attunement, and your own practice afterwards.
Skepticism is welcome here. You do not have to believe anything in advance, and you do not have to call yourself spiritual. Reiki asks you to try it and pay attention to what happens, which is a reasonable thing to ask of anyone. Some of the most capable practitioners I know arrived doubtful.
No. Reiki is not a religion. People of every faith and of no faith practice it. It sits alongside what you already believe rather than asking you to replace it.
You will be able to give Reiki to yourself, and to the people around you: your partner, your friends, your parents, your children, and your animals. Many people take Level 1 purely for their own healing and never go any further, and that is a complete and worthwhile reason to do it.
Yes. On completion you receive a Usui Reiki Level 1 (Shoden) certificate.
Level 1 is traditionally the level for healing yourself and the people close to you, and Level 2 is where most practitioners begin working with clients.
Most people move through it over a few weeks, in the pockets of time they have. Some finish in a week. Others take a whole season with it. There is no deadline and there is no falling behind.
You are welcome. Some people take Level 1 again to strengthen the connection, to fill in gaps left by a course that moved too quickly, or simply because they want to be taught it properly this time. A second attunement does no harm.
Yes, and you will be asking me, not a support team. I am a working practitioner with a small practice, not a large training company, so the person answering your email is the person who taught you.
